It delivers 1080p and 720p video in addition to the FPV view, which is sent directly to both pilot and camera operator. Secure Video Transmissionįeaturing DJI's Lightbridge technology, the Inspire 2 has an effective video transmission distance of up to 4.3 miles in ideal conditions. During its return home, the Inspire 2 will identify obstacles up to 200 m in front, prioritising a safe and secure landing. Meaning, if video transmission is lost and Smart Return Home is enabled, it will track along its original route and change course to a straight line when it regains signal. This system is able to form a real-time map of its route during flight. When traversing enclosed spaces, upward-facing infrared sensors scan obstacles 5 m above with Obstacle-sensing systems active during normal flight, RTH, and all Intelligent Flight Modes. The Inspire 2 can detect obstacles up to 30 m ahead with forward and downward vision systems, enabling protected flight at up to 34 mph and a controllable attitude angle of 25°. Advanced Obstacle Sensing and Safe Return Protocols It's reassuring to know that the Inspire 2's impressive in-flight capabilities are not at the downfall of battery life, with the two LiPo onboard batteries providing up to 27 minutes of flight on full-charge - If one battery falters, the second can maintain flight long enough to ensure a safe landing. To use, simply touch a point on screen in the FPV view to set a flight route and watch as the drone automatically advances along the route - pilot can then give full attention to gimbal movement.ĪctiveTrack Mode also gives the Inspire 2 the ability to recognise a vast array of objects (people, bikes, cars and boats), and then tracks their profiles with exacting precision. When juggling in-flight filming, the 2-axis onboard FPV camera splits the flight-view from the main camera view - effectively enabling the Inspire 2 with a dedicated ‘tap-to-fly' video transmission system. The Inspire 2's propulsion system gives it a 58 mph top speed, and allows for steep descents at up to 29 feet-per-second and ascents at up to 19 feet-per-second. It can accelerate from 0 to 50 mph in just four seconds and can fly at a maximum attitude angle of 40°. The DJI Inspire 2 is a master of power, speed, and agility in the air. Spotlight Pro available in all Flight Modes to include: ActiveTrack, TapFly, Waypoint, and Point of Interest. The gimbal is also able to be moved during shooting to allow for composition adjustments. In Quick mode, identify an object to initiate tracking, and in Composition mode, identify the subject and tracking position - press the shortcut to begin tracking when the subject has entered the preset tracking position. Spotlight Pro has two key modes: Quick and Composition. If the gimbal is reaching its rotation limit, the Inspire 2 will turn in the same direction without affecting flight control or framing - prioritising gimbal movement whilst allowing for smoother tracking shots. Visual-tracking algorithms lock onto the subject during flight regardless of the DJI's movements, capturing cinema-grade shots that would have once required a highly-skilled camera operator. Spotlight Pro is an enhanced tracking mode to allow single pilots to gain exciting, complex imagery. Expanded DJI Inspire 2 X7 Advanced Kit Key Features: Spotlight Pro If you intend to fly commercially, you will need to take the PfCO CAA exam (Permission for Commercial Operations). Please Note: You must make sure you know the rules and consult the Drone Code before you fly.
